EDF statement on the situation in Ukraine
Alongside our friends and colleagues across Europe, we have watched with great concern and sadness as the terrible events have unfolded over the past several weeks following the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
As a non-profit professional European organization dedicated to improving the healthcare needs of dermatology patients in Europe and to providing independent advice and facilitate communication between dermatologists and European organizations concerned with improving the quality of skin care including industry, academia, government, patient organizations and society, the European Dermatology Forum (EDF) expresses its solidarity with the people of Ukraine. In line with our European Dermatological, Venereology and Research Colleagues in the EADV and ESDR, we stand together with those affected by this conflict and extend our heartfelt support to all healthcare professionals, patients and citizens. We suspect that the impact of this conflict will be widespread and we urge national and international organizations to consider offering support to all those affected.
We desperately hope that the situation will dissolve quickly and peacefully to prevent further tragic and unnecessary losses and suffering. More than ever, solidarity and unity are essential. Our thoughts are with the Ukrainian population and our colleagues.
