The European Dermatology Forum (EDF) would like to pay tribute to Dr. Eric Seban, who sadly passed away on March 11, 2023.
Dr. Eric Seban started his career in a variety of roles including medical Lead within several agencies (e.g. Arsenal Targis & Ogilvy). He then became the former Professional Communications & International Relations Head of Galderma International (2003-2015).
Back in 2003 & for over a decade, Galderma was the first & sole sponsor of the EDF Euroderm Excellence Training courses; Dr. Seban was instrumental to the creation of the courses offered to the best residents in dermato-venereology throughout Europe.
The 1st EDF Euroderm Excellence programme was launched in 2004 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. For 2 decades, thousands of Residents have benefited from the training program and many will remember him.
Subsequently, Dr. Seban moved to Eli Lilly France as Medical Director of Dermatology – Immunology. He retired from this position about 3 years ago. In his last formal role, he had the opportunity to bring Eli Lilly as a sponsor of our EDF Euroderm Excellence course. The EDF Euroderm Excellence programme was one of his proudest achievements, which the EDF would like to recognize.
Most recently, after retiring from Eli Lilly, and always close to Dermatology, he volunteered his services to the International League of Dermatological Society.
Dr. Seban was a great professional who will be sadly missed. He was only 65.
