in memoriam Detlef Zillikens

With great sadness, the EDF shares the news of the passing of Detlef Zillikens

 

It is with great sadness that we report the death of the EDF member Prof. Dr. med. Detlef Zillikens (born July 15, 1958, in Wesseling; † September 19, 2022). He was a German dermatologist as well as a University Professor and Director of the Department of Dermatology, Allergology, and Venereology at the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein, Lübeck. He had a strong reputation for his research on various blistering autoimmune dermatoses such as pemphigus, pemphigoid diseases, and dermatitis herpetiformis.
